Politics

As some of you have know, im went back to work in the previous company. More money and no agent.

Before i went back, i have heard of some mis-treatment by one of the management staff and my expectation after listening was bad, but not to the extent of the end of the curve. But i never expect to be really THAT bad after working for 1 month.

The environment have really changed alot. Last time round, there used to be shouting, joking and fooling around. Picture a happy working environment. Now, everyone is keeping to themselves, only grouped with those whom they can really shared all the gossips and happenings from the management staff. Even having lunch is also in groups. You could even feel the negative vibes in the air that you just dont have the motivation to work.

Frankly speaking, i dont have anything against the management staff despite doing stuff that is not in my capabilities. Heck, i haven even started doing it. I dont see other management staff asking me to do work that is not in my capability. Somehow it was her way of delegating work to other people that got tongues wagging. Dont get me wrong, if she is doing for the first time and need help, we will do our utmost best to help. But 2nd time and 3rd time? Other management staff have their own portfolios to take care of, they cant neglect their own work and help her 24/7. They too have deadlines to meet.

But somehow i bought up an issue to the top management recently and in return got backstabbed for it. The issue was regarding emails that cc-ed to me, i have to print out and file it. By the end of the day, any particular email that corresponds the most, the file will be quite thick. The logical common sense is to print out the last correspondence and file it in. Apparently the management staff dont see it that way and die die want to have the latest correspondence.

And now, im labelled as someone who have attitude problem and constantly been late. Why other people dont see it? Im not even hired by her, but another management staff. She also bad-mouthed other temps and im wondering in the first place, why the need to hire us when you are 'overwhelmed' with work and delegate work to us yet in return, bad-mouthed us? My day at the office is practically surfing the net half of the day. The other half is really working in the office. eg, checking email, photocopying, filing, using Excel to check figures.

This totally sum up the title of this post. Office politics. And my friendly management staff says it all, "Welcome to the real world."

2 more weeks to go and i cant even wait for it. There are 4 management staff and i only keep in contact with 2 of them. One is the above-mentioned, the other one is, let just say, no one bother to contact. This will also the last time i work for this company. One spoilt apple and other apples have to suffer from it.
